Strike the third section of the USTFCCCA Division I Track and Field Handbook for All American Awards. And also as it applies indoors:

All-America
Selection

1. First Team All-America status is awarded to finishers 1-8 in each event at the NCAA Division I
Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
2. Second Team All-America status is awarded to finishers 9-16 in each event at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
3. Honorable Mention status is awarded to finishers 17-24 in each event at the NCAA Division I Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
