Course Information

A high level course covering various fields of science applicable to the sprint, hurdle, jumping, throwing, and combined events. Topics include neuromuscular physiology and the basis for speed and power training, the stretch shortening cycle, energy system and endocrine system physiology, musculoskeletal function, motor learning theory.
