USTFCCCA Division II Cross Country Championships

If the NCAA cancels fall sports national championship events then I would like to propose a USTFCCCA Division II Cross Country Championship for November 21st, 2020 in Joplin, Missouri.

Qualification for the USTFCCCA Championship meet would go through each respective conference championship meet (suggested to move all of them to November 7, 2020 with the men racing 10k and the women racing 6k) using the qualification proposal that was submitted to the NCAA II Cross Country Sport Committee by the NCAA II Cross Country Coaches Connect sub-Committee to be used for the 2020 fall season based on the number of conferences competing. The only difference in the qualifying criteria from what was proposed to the Sport Committee for 2020 would #5. We would replace the NCAA II Cross Country Sport Committee with the current USTFCCCA NCAA II Cross Country Executive Committee representatives of each of the conferences competing on November 7th. They would form the selection committee meeting on November 8th to finalize the field that would be announced on Monday, November 9th.

*If the USTFCCCA chooses not to support this meet then we will still be looking into hosting a “championship-oriented” meet on that date at MSSU for the schools and conferences who are interested.
