Job Description

Brewton-Parker College has an immediate opening for a Director of Cross-Country and Track and Field. The Director will be responsible for directing all aspects of the Cross-Country and Track and Field programs, which includes: scheduling, recruiting, assembling a coaching staff, coaching an event group, monitoring budgets, logistics of travel, compliance, and developing the entire student-athlete – spiritually, academically, and athletically. Applicants must first and foremost be committed to discipleship of their student-athletes. The successful applicant will also sign a “Lifestyle Standard Agreement”. The program will be conducted in accordance with all Brewton-Parker College and NAIA regulations and policies, and must promote the mission and vision of Brewton-Parker College, as well as the goals and objectives of the athletic department.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must have at least a Bachelor’s degree, Master’s preferred, and two years of coaching experience. The successful candidate will have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and the ability to successfully disciple student athletes. The candidate should also possess strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks and work within a budget, excellent written and oral skills, knowledge of computer applications, fundraising, event planning, camps and financial management, the ability to work weekends, evenings, including travel, and can demonstrate commitment to or experience working with diverse populations. Candidates must be able to recruit mission appropriate student athletes at a high level within scholarship structure as determined by the Vice-President of Enrollment Services and Athletics. Must be able to lift and move equipment, maintain a valid driver’s license, and transport the team as needed.
