Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree from accredited institution
• Background in Track & Field/Cross Country
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
• Ability to work independently
• Ability to work with other coaches and staff members
• Acceptance into full-time Graduate Program at Troy University
• Valid Driver’s License or ID

Duties and Responsibilities:
In accordance with NCAA and institutional policies, the position of Graduate Assistant Coach reports to the Director of Track and Field/Cross Country, as well as the Assistant Coaches. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: assisting with athlete skill development; monitoring student-athlete academic success and time management; assisting with practice set-up, break down and implementation; meet management; uniform collection, distribution and inventory; and student-athlete recruitment, as well as other related duties as assigned.

Expectations:
Graduate Assistants are expected to work weekends and evenings, as well as travel. Weekly office hours will be maintained outside of team practice. Graduate Assistants must maintain academic standards in accordance to the University guidelines.
