Western Oregon University, an NCAA Division II institution located in Monmouth, Oregon is seeking applicants for the Fall of 2024 for Track & Field.
Start Date: Tentatively August 1st, 2024
In accordance with all NCAA, GNAC and institutional policies and procedures, the position of Part-Time Throws coach reports to the head track & field coach and is responsible for assisting in the throwing events. This position includes a preferred emphasis on coaching expertise in shot put, discus, hammer and/or javelin.
This position will receive a monthly stipend, $6,000-8,000 yearly.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Active Driver’s License or ability to get one before the start date.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
Ethical Responsibilities:
The part-time throws coach, as a member of the Intercollegiate Athletic Department, agrees to represent the University in an honorable and ethical manner to the best of his/her ability. Standards for ethical conduct for athletic department staff, cohesive work with the track staff that are established and enforced by the Head Coach, Athletic Director, Western Oregon University, the State Board of Higher Education, the GNAC and the NCAA.
