**IN PERSON COURSE**

A high level certification granting course that covers the coaching and preparation of shot put and discus throw athletes at all levels. Topics include athlete management, training design and administration, competition management, technical issues and instruction, and sports sciences.

Prerequisites:

The minimal requirements for taking the Advanced Endorsement course are 304: Throwing Event Specialist Certification, 403: Testing and Measurement, 405: Sports Psychology, 406: Injury Management, 408: Sport Science for Speed & Power Events, and your choice of either 310: Strength & Conditioning Coach Certification or 407: Weight Training.

OR

10 years of formal coaching experience and course 304: Throwing Event Specialist Certification.

Deadline: Course registration closes at 11:55pm (Central) on Saturday, November 30th. On-site registration WILL NOT be available.
