Job Description

University of Maryland Eastern Shore, located in Princess Anne, Maryland is accepting candidates for a graduate assistant position for the Cross Country /Track and Field Program. Under the direction of the Head Cross Country/Track & Field Coach, the Graduate Assistant for Track & Field is responsible for assisting with the daily operational and administrative needs of the men’s and women’s cross country and track & field programs. This position will work closely with multi-events, jumps and/or throws. Characteristic responsibilities would include but not be limited to assisting with coaching, planning, day-to-day practice and office operations, administrative tasks, and other duties as assigned by the Head Cross Country/Track & Field and/or Assistant Coaches.

Bachelor’s Degree; competitive and/or previous coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level; experience coaching or competing in the specialty events preferred; strong work ethic and self-starter; organizational skills; and great attention to detail. Work is not limited to the traditional workweek, the candidate must be willing to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
