Job Description
The Head Cross Country Coach and Assistant Track & Field Coach will be responsible for the men’s and women’s distance and mid-distance athletes. This individual will provide coaching expertise, leadership, management that results in a positive and beneficial intercollegiate experience for the student-athletes.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and implement performance plans for men’s and women’s distance and mid-distance athletes for cross country and track events;
- Recruit and evaluate high caliber student-athletes in distance and mid-distance events;
- Coordinate travel arrangements for cross country and assist with track & field travel;
- Log recruiting activity in Teamworks (Compliance & Recruiting Platform);
- Assist with oversight of student-athletes academic support;
- Perform classroom checks as necessary;
- Acting meet director for any home cross country or track & field competitions;
- Ability to promote an atmosphere of Compliance with NCAA, Ohio Valley;
- Conference and UA Little Rock rules/regulations/policies;
- Other duties as assigned.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of NCAA, Ohio Valley Conference and UA Little Rock Regulations;
- Ability to work nights and weekends with extensive travel.
