Bonafide Entry Marks (Track Events) & Formation of Heats

All competitions managed by a Division I member insitution should be seeded with bonafide, verifiable entry marks listed on tfrrs, World Athletics, or other national or international top-lists. In cases where an athelte does not have a verifialbe mark, an appropriate conversion from a similar event based on World Athletics Scoring Tables (ie. 1500m can coverted for an 800m time, or a 5000m can be converted for a 10000m time if the athelte does not have a verifiable mark). For an incoming freshman who has not competed at the collegiate, national, or international level, a verfiable mark (or applicable coversion, ie 1600m to mile or 1500m, 3200m to 3000m) from Milesplit or Athletic.net should be used as a entry time.
Heats/Sections would then be seeded based on these verifiable marks or apporiate coversions rather than using speculative marks.
Exceptions: a bonafide pacemaker would not be required to have a seed mark for the heat they are pacing
