Job Description

The University of New Haven Track & Field program is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Part-Time Pole Vault & Assistant Track & Field Coach to join our coaching staff. This position will work directly with our student-athletes to develop and implement technical training sessions for the pole vault group during the indoor and outdoor seasons.

Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead pole vault practices.
• Attend competitions and provide event-specific coaching.
• Assist with recruitment and development of pole vault student- athletes.
• Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive training environment.
• Collaborate with the head coach and other staff to align with the program’s goals and values.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience coaching or competing in the pole vault at the collegiate, high school, or club level.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Passion for developing student-athletes on and off the runway.
• USATF or USTFCCCA certification preferred but not required.

Compensation:

• $10,000
