Assistant Track & Field Coach (2 positions) – Amherst College

Job Description

2 Positions available.

Event areas considered: Throws, Sprints/Hurdles, Pole Vault.

Responsibilities:

1. plan & implement practice sessions
2. conduct weekly check-in meetings with athletes
3. attend and assist with transportation to competitions
4. assist with administrative duties including recruitment, travel, & equipment.

Term: This is a 9-month position from Sept 1 – May 31.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelors Degree
2. Prior Coaching or Competitive Experience
3. Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
4. Excellent organizational skills.
5. Ability to travel and work extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
6. Valid driver’s license
