The Athletics, Wellness, & Event (AWE) Center opens in Summer 2025. This new facility includes four multi-purpose courts for basketball, volleyball, tennis, and pickleball; a 200-meter indoor track and all field events; batting cages; and seating for approximately 350 spectators. The project also includes a new athletic training facility; a 180-person meeting room; locker rooms; wrestling practice facility; and academic labs for Exercise Science & Sports Leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the direction of the Director and in accordance with all NCAA, Conference, State and Institutional rules and regulations, this position will assist the Director in the following areas:
- Assist with instructing the technical aspects of the sport of track & field to the student-athletes in the following event areas: Shot Put, Weight Throw, Discus, Hammer, Multis
- Assist the Director with administration of practices (practice set-up, video recording, practice tear-down, warm-ups, warm-downs, etc.).
- Assist the Director with official visits from prospective student-athletes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1+ years of high school or collegiate coaching/competing experience in multis and/or throws
- Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules
