Job Description

the Assistant Coach (Throws) will design and implement a training program for discus, shot put, weight throw, and hammer. Additionally, the coach will assist in the recruitment and ongoing evaluation of the student-athletes.

Duties, Tasks, Responsibilities (assists the head coach in the following areas):

• Evaluation of student-athlete performance.
• Design and implementation of training programs and practice regimens.
• Competition preparation and coaching.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

• General intercollegiate athletics environment with specific concern for track & field.
• Meeting with student-athletes as needed.
• Travel to competition and recruitment as needed.

Time Required:

• Part-time position. Standard college track & field calendar for in-season and out-of-season.
