Job Description

Purdue Fort Wayne is seeking a Volunteer Assistant Throws Coach for Men’s and Women’s Track & Field. The ideal candidate will have a background in throwing events and will oversee training in the throws. They will work under the direction of the Throws Coach. Purdue Fort Wayne is a mid major Division 1 program in The Horizon League.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Coordinating and overseeing key practice sessions with throws athletes
• Assisting in meet and travel logistics as required by the Coaching Staff
• Assisting in recruitment of throws athletes to Purdue Fort Wayne at the discretion of the Coaching Staff
• Maintaining strict adherence to all NCAA DI and Horizon League Rules

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated knowledge of throws events
• A valid driver’s license and ability to pass a driving certification exam
• Strong organizational and communication skills
