Job Description

McNeese State University Track and Field is seeking graduate candidates for a Graduate Assistant position with the Track & Field/Cross Country program beginning August ??, 2026. The ideal candidate will have knowledge and experience in the Pole Vault, Hurdles, and or Combined Events area(s).

Opportunities and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

• Working in collaboration with the McNeese coaching staff in all aspects of the TF/CC program
• Identify and recruit qualified student-athletes to McNeese
• Assist in coordinating recruiting activities and meetings on campus
• Heavily involved in day-to-day and long term operations planning for the TF/CC program
• Responsible for attending all practices and competitions
• Home meet management
• Abide by all written policies, procedures, and guidelines of McNeese State University, the Department of Athletics, Southland Conference, and NCAA
• Coaching duties will be assigned based on area(s) of expertise (if applicable)
• Other duties as assigned
