Abilene Christian University (NCAA Division 1, Western Athletic Conference) is seeking qualified applicants for coaching the Jumps – high jump, long jump, and triple jump – and assistance with the Multi Events, as well as help with operations, compliance, and program and meet management. The applicant will be responsible for coaching the jumpers and multi athletes in the jumps, planning of the jumps program (including weight room), recruiting potential student-athletes, daily practices, administrative tasks, meet management and travel duties, and other tasks assigned by the coaching staff and under the direction of the head coach. This is a full-time position.
A bachelor’s degree is preferred, as well as experience/interest in competing or coaching at the collegiate level with the horizontal or vertical jumps, or in the multi-event area. Applicants need to have a strong work ethic and good communication skills with student-athletes, recruits, fellow coaches, and administration; ability to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends with non-traditional hours; up-to-date drivers license and passing of a criminal background check; and familiarity with NCAA Division 1 rules and regulations.
