Academy of Art University seeks a full-time Assistant Coach for the Urban Knight’s Track and Field team. This position is located in our downtown office location at 620 Sutter Street in San Francisco. Academy of Art University’s Assistant Coach for Track & Field will support the Director of Cross Country and Track and Field with the successful management of the program throughout the year. Additional responsibilities include:

Assist the Head Coach with all aspects of the Track and Field program during the Track and Field season.
Manage season and off season workouts jumpers and multi-event athletes.
Recruit, retain and graduate successful student-athletes for Academy of Art University and the Track and Field program. Must be a certified off-campus recruiter.
Assist the Head Coach with the individual runner performance evaluation process.
Assist the Director of Cross Country & Track and Field with the Track & Field recruiting program.
Ensure proper supervision of athletes during practice, travel to and from competition, and during competition.

Possess a four year degree and related professional experience.
Must possess valid CPR, First Aid and AED certifications.
Must be certified off-campus recruiter.
Possess exceptional communication skills and effectively engage with others in person.
Possess knowledge of NCAA and Pacific West Conference rules and regulations.
Must be able to consistently lift up to 50 pounds .
Possess a valid California driver’s license and be insurable under Academy of Art University’s auto insurance.
Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work evenings and weekends as needed for the University
