Primary Responsibilities

• Program training and provide student-athlete instruction in the jumping events (triple jump, high jump, long jump).
• Recruitment of prospective student-athletes for event disciplines
• Assist in the execution of indoor and outdoor home meets
• Assist in planning and implementation of daily practice, competitions, travel, paperwork and any other administrative duties set forth by the Head Coach
• Help foster a team culture that is focused and driven to succeed academically and athletically
• Assist in all fundraising and volunteer opportunities.
• Maintain knowledge and ensure compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree; minimum directly related experience requirement is determined by the VP for Athletics.
• Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
• Must have a strong commitment to the safety and welfare of student-athletes.
• Ability to work on weekends, evenings
• Successful completion of a background check.
• Ability to collaborate with the coaching staff and to support the vision of the Head Coach.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior coaching experience and/or prior experience as an athlete
• Effective communication skills; both orally and written
  Takes initiative and has the ability/willingness to figure out solutions to problems independently, and within a creative manner.
• Extremely organized, detail oriented, self-starter and intrinsically motivated.
• Strong management and leadership skills; Proven ability to multi-task effectively.
• Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines as assigned by the Head Coach
