ASSISTANT COACH

The Department of Athletics at the State University of New York College at Oneonta invites applications for the position of Assistant Coach for Cross Country and Track & Field. All event specialties will be considered. Expectations include developing exemplary scholar-athletes who strive for competitive excellence, academic achievement, and a commitment to service.

Duties include but not limited to: coaching various event groups of a XCTF program, recruiting, public relations efforts, team travel arrangements, fund-raising efforts, practice preparation, game preparation, monitoring academic progress, and coordinating team community service activities. Position includes evenings and weekends.

Required qualifications: bachelor’s degree and appropriate college coaching and/or playing experience, CPR/First Aid certification.
Preferred: USATF or USTFCCCA certifications, S&C certification, and experience working with and serving diverse populations.
