Job Description

The Assistant Director of Operations is responsible for field operations relative to setup for practices and meets. This individual also assists in planning travel logistics for m/w track & field/XC programs.

Must complete all job duties in compliance with University, Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.

Assist coaching staff with practice logistics including, but not limited to measuring distances and setting up cones, scheduling practice times, scouting practice locations, and setting up hurdles.
Assist coaches and director of operations with team travel, staff travel, and prospective student-athletes travel for official visits.
Work with equipment operations staff and coaches to handle ordering, distribution, and collection of equipment for a variety of different event groups. Important to understand the varied (equipment) needs for specific event groups.

Serve as liaison with team’s SID contact to coordinate social media posts, team bio information and scheduling of student-athlete interviews. Keep current on social media platforms and where we need to have a presence.
Work closely with coaching staff to fulfill compliance paperwork including, but not limited to time management logs and practice logs.
Assist with special projects and events as assigned.
