QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree (Health, Physical Education, Recreation, or Related Field)
• Minimum of 3-5 years of collegiate track and field coaching experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Coaching at the collegiate level preferred
• Ability to recruit quality student-athletes
• Outstanding organizational/computer skills
• Home meet management experience preferred
• Expertise in Sprints/Hurdles

RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assistant Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Coach will assist the Director of XC/TF with the organization, administration, coaching and supervision of the men’s and women’s track and field program. The Assistant Coach will be heavily involved in recruiting for men’s and women’s track and field program and will assist the Director in recruitment/retention of quality student-athletes. The Assistant Coach will also help maintain and continue to develop our program to help ensure academic success of our student-athletes, as well as assist in team fundraising. The Assistant Coach will need to maintain good relationships with the community, alumni, and boosters. Additionally, the assistant coach must have a thorough understanding of and accountability to NCAA and Conference Carolinas rules and regulation. This position will also have an athletic department assignment in addition to coaching (6 hours of teaching responsibilities per semester).
