Job Description
Assistant Throws Coach will be tasked with learning the system of the Current Throws Coach.
Your daily responsibilities will be to assist in development and management of all aspects of the throws program including but not limited to recruiting, writing workouts, implementing workouts, facilitating meeting with athletes, organizing CARA logs, coaching, motivating, and warming up throwers and filming at practice and track meets, assisting in fund raising efforts, assisting with organizing community service and team bonding events with the team.
Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass a van certification exam.
It is the responsibility of the Assistant Coach to study and know all policies and procedures integral to Eastern Washington University, Big Sky, and NCAA rules compliance. If and when there are trainings, the Assistant Coach must make themselves available so the staff remains compliant.
Must be willing to travel with the team to competitions during weekdays and weekends.
Your direct supervisor will be the Current Throws Coach (who reports to the Head Coach).
There will be some level of compensation in the form of meal money on the road and access to Coaching Gear and an Adidas Catalog. The NCAA Convention can be paid for on a case by case basis.
