Job Description

Northwood Invites applications for the part time Men’s and Women’s Track and Field Assistant Coach position. Under general direction of the coaching staff, this coach will assist with the responsibilities of the program in accordance and compliance with NCAA, GMAC, and Northwood policies and regulations.

What you’ll do:

• Collaborate and take direction with current coaching staff.
• Maintain positive working relationships with coaching staff and student-athletes.
• Help foster a team culture that is focused and driven to succeed academically and athletically.
• Assist the associate head coach in planning and implementation of practice, competitions, travel and other administrative duties.
• Conduct and supervise athletically related activities for specific training groups when assigned by the head coach.
• Maintain knowledge and ensure compliance with the NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations.

What we’re looking for:

• 1+ years coaching and/or personal athletic experience in the vertical/horizontal jumps
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Must have a strong commitment to the safety and welfare of student-athletes.
• Ability to work weekdays, weekends and some evenings.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to transport student athletes.
• Work Hours: Varied to meet business demands as needed.
