Job Description

 

South Dakota Mines is searching for a qualified candidate for an Assistant Track and Field and Cross Country Coach/Intramural Coordinator. South Dakota Mines is a member of the NCAA D-II and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and must follow and comply with all appropriate NCAA rules and regulations. This position is an 11-month benefited position at 100% effort from July 22 to June 21 and off from June 22 to July 21. Preference will be given to those candidates with experience in throws. Coaches will be expected to recruit highly qualified student-athletes. Additional duties in the department will include coordinating the intramural program. The ability to work with student-athletes is required.

A Bachelor’s degree is required. Collegiate experience preferred and experience coaching or competing in one or more of the event groups listed is required. Qualified candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate with players, coaches, athletic department personnel, and supervisor.
