Job Description

Bloomsburg Athletics is seeking an assistant track and field/cross country coach who possesses the coaching expertise and organizational skills needed to coordinate, oversee, and organize all aspects of the program.

The position is responsible for recruitment and retention of qualified track and field/cross country student-athletes with a commitment to academic success, retention, possess the ability to relate to student-athletes, compliance with NCAA rules, PSAC, and Bloomsburg policies and regulations, scheduling, CPR certification, practice and game planning, training, fundraising, community engagement, camps and clinics, and other duties as assigned by the Head Track and Field/Cross Country Coach and the Director of Athletics.

  • Bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Applicants must have a minimum of three years of coaching as a Head or Assistant Coach at the intercollegiate or high school level.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population is preferred.

  • Preference will be given to candidates who possess coaching expertise in the throwing events.

To be eligible for most benefits, you must be a permanent, full-time employee (including temporary, full-time faculty with at least an academic year contract) or a permanent, part-time employee (including temporary, part-time faculty with at least an academic year contract) who is scheduled to work every pay period for at least 50% of full-time hours.
