Job Description

Student-Athlete Forward Responsibilities

• Assist in coordinating the evaluation and recruitment of all track & field student-athletes.
• Coordinate the preparation and development of all hurdle, jump, and combined-event student-athletes.

Student-Athlete & Support Staff Responsibilities

• Assisting with home track and field meet management;
• Knowledge of and adherence to all NCAA rules, policies and procedures pertaining to men’s and women’s track & field/cross country. Attend and participate in monthly NCAA rules compliance meetings.
• Monitor and encourage the scholastic progress of CC / T&F student-athletes in conjunction with the Athletic Academic Advising Office (AAA), so as to promote their academic success.
• Responsible for adherence to the program’s budget, in conjunction with the Athletic Business Office. Work with Head Coach on travel arrangements, equipment purchases, and expense reports.
• Establish and maintain quality relationships with alumni and support organizations (Athletic Advisory Council, “D” Club, Blue Crew, etc.) of DePaul University.

Assist Head Coach in supervision of volunteer instructional assistants and student assistant coaches and student managers (1-4 individuals).

Performing tasks within the scope of the department expense budget.
