South Dakota School of Mines and Technology is searching for a qualified candidate for a full time Assistant Cross Country and Track & Field Coach/Intramural Coordinator. South Dakota School of Mines & Technology is a member of the NCAA D-II and Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference and must follow and comply with all appropriate NCAA rules and regulations. This position is a 12-month benefited position at 100% effort from July 22 to May 21 and 50% effort from May 22 to July 21. Preference will be given to those candidates with experience as an athlete or coach with sprints, hurdles, jumps and/or multi-events. Recruiting experience is preferred; USATF Level 1 or USTFCCCA Technical or Event Certifications encouraged.
A Bachelor’s degree is required. Collegiate experience is preferred and experience coaching or competing in one or more of the event groups listed is required. Qualified candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to communicate with players, coaches, athletic department personnel, and supervisor.
