Job Description

Duties: day-to-day coaching of student-athletes; individual skill instruction; recruiting athletic and academically sound, competitive student-athletes that can compete on the NCAA Division II level; establish a strong working relationship with the University and surrounding community; follow NCAA, Great American Conference and University rules and regulations; assist with pre-meet preparations to include travel arrangements and player accommodations and other duties assigned. Candidate will also assist in community and public relations, promotion of teams within the community, oversight of local practice facilities as well as serving as a positive role model for student-athletes. Additional assignments depending on qualifications could be assigned by the Director of Athletics.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required; experience in throws required; demonstrate evidence of successful experience in coaching; record of success in collegiate and/or interscholastic track coaching/competing; effective communication, excellent written and oral communication skills with a strong attention to detail; interpersonal skills and commitment to total success of students.
