QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
- Minimum of 2 years of track and field coaching experience; THROWS
- Must have or be working towards a S&C certification; CSCS, or similar
Preferred Qualifications
- Coaching at the collegiate level preferred
- Ability to recruit quality student-athletes
- Outstanding organizational/computer skills
- Home meet management experience preferred
- Expertise in throws (required) & PV (preferred)
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Assistant Men’s and Women’s Track/Strength Coach will assist the Director of XC/TF with the organization, administration, coaching and supervision of the men’s and women’s track and field program, along with assisting the S&C staff with assigned team lifts. The Assistant Coach will be responsible for recruiting men’s and women’s track and field PSA’s. The Assistant Coach will also help maintain and continue to develop our program to help ensure academic success of our student-athletes, as well as assist in team fundraising. The Assistant Coach will need to maintain good relationships with the community, alumni, and boosters. Additionally, the assistant coach must have a thorough understanding of and accountability to NCAA and Conference Carolinas rules and regulation.
