Job Description

Utica University is hiring an ATHLETIC ASSISTANT Coach. The primary focus is to assist with Cross Country/Distance events, but qualified candidates from any event background are encouraged to apply.

The Athletic Assistant coach is required to be enrolled in a masters program at Utica University. This appointment typically runs 3.5 years and includes a stipend, room and meals, and graduate hours. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position

• Bachelor’s Degree required at the time of hiring (spring 2025 graduates may apply)
• 1-2 years coaching/playing experience.
• Must have knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
• Maintain CPR and First Aid Certification

Minimum Skills/Abilities

• Knowledge of Men’s and Women’s Track and Field
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work with diversified group
• Strong organizations skills

Must maintain a clean driving record as defined by University insurance carrier guidelines. Motor vehicle record will be monitored regularly using NYS License Event Notification Service or License Monitor, Inc. for out of state licenses. Will be required to attend van training annually.
