Salary: $5,200/year stipend ($2,600/semester) + 9 credit hours per semester of Master’s Degree program of choice. No meal plan or housing provided.

General Information:
Roosevelt University is seeking candidates for the position of Graduate Assistant for Track & Field and Cross Country. We are accepting applications for either a Cross Country/Distance assistant coach OR a Sprints/Hurdles coach. A decision will be made based on the quality of candidates that apply. Roosevelt University is a proud member of NCAA Dll and the highly competitive Great Lakes Intercollegiate Conference. The position reports directly to the head coach. Review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include setting up and breaking down training sessions and competitions. Candidates will also assist with recruiting operations, social media, and other duties as assigned. Other duties include but are not limited to –

  • Assist with day to day operations of the program including coaching of cross country/distance OR sprint/hurdle athletes
  • Assist with team logistics such as training equipment preparation, gear inventory and distribution, and travel arrangements
  • Assist coaching staff with NCAA Compliance documentation, logs, and ensuring adherence to NCAA rules

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Must be accepted into the Roosevelt University’s Graduate School
  • Pass a background check
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively communicate
  • Ability to work independently, when necessary, with minimal supervision
