Job Description

Lincoln Memorial University’s Department of Athletics is currently accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant Coach position with its Track & Field program for the 2026-2027 and 2027-2028 academic years. The successful candidate will report to the Head Track & Field/Cross Country Coach and will assist with various coaching, jumps, and/or multi-events, recruiting, and administrative tasks.

The ideal candidate will have competed at the collegiate level, performing with distinction as a member of a competitive track & field. Experience with jumps and/or multi events and a desire to be a coach is a plus. Additional requirements include strong communication, organizational, and supervisory skills; the ability to work well in a team environment; and the capacity to model mature, responsible leadership. The candidate must be willing to work weekends and holidays and travel with the track and cross-country teams to competitions. Must have a valid driver’s license and pass the university driver certification class.
