The University of Dubuque is seeking a Graduate Assistant Track & Field Coach with an emphasis on jumps or throws, based on applicant expertise. This position would begin in the 2nd semester of this academic year (Spring Semester 2026) and would be a two-year position for the 2025-26 and 2026-27 terms. The University of Dubuque is a NCAA Division III institution and a member of the American Rivers Conference.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Write training for and provide student-athlete instruction in the jumping events (high jump, long jump, triple jump, pole vault) OR throwing events (shot put, discus, hammer, weight, javelin). Both event areas are being considered for these positions and we are looking to hire the best candidates possible.
• Recruitment of prospective student-athletes
• Coordination of team operations such as travel, camps, and home meets
• Monitor eligibility status and promotion of academic progress for student-athletes
• Manage team equipment and apparel.
• Participate and assist with camps, clinics, exhibitions, and campus activities
• Perform other duties as assigned in support of the University’s Mission

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree is required, and the position is conditional based on acceptance into University of Dubuque Masters’ program
• High level of organization and attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior coaching experience and/or prior experience as an athlete
• Effective communication skills; both orally and written
• Proficiency in social media

All graduate degree tuition will be waived for the terms listed above. In addition, you will have the choice of the following compensation:
Monthly stipend in the equivalent of 20 hours/week of work study, OR, free on-campus housing and meal plan.
