Job Description

Minot State University is now accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant Track and Field Coach in the following positions beginning in January 2022 for the following event groups

Sprints
Hurdles
Horizontal Jumps
Vertical Jumps
Throws
Operations

The position will report to the Director of Cross Country and Track & Field.
Experience coaching at the high school or collegiate level is preferred. A Bachelor’s Degree is required. Compensation will be a stipend and tuition waiver. The successful candidate must be accepted and enrolled into a graduate program at Minot State. Please submit a cover letter, resume, and 3 references

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):
• The successful candidate will assist in all practice, competition, and day to day planning.
• Know NCAA Division II rules and regulations to ensure compliance with departmental, university, conference and national policies. Will be required to be certified to recruit at the NCAA Division II level
• Recruit and Retain student-athletes in accordance with university, department, and conference requirements and policies
• Promote unity within the athletic department by working in corporation together and by supporting all university personnel
• Assist in fundraising efforts of the team
• Oversee and monitor academic progress of student-athletes. Ensure academic success, focusing on classroom achievement and graduation requirements
• Develop teamwork, morale, sportsmanship, courtesy, fair play, academic excellence and strict adherence to rules of training and conduct
• Other duties as assigned by Director of XC/T&F or Athletic Department
