Job Description

Under the general direction of the Director of Cross Country and Track & Field, the Graduate Assistant or Intern Coach for Track & Field is responsible for assisting with the daily operational and administrative needs of the men’s and women’s track & field programs. This position will work closely with sprints, hurdles, and multi-events. Characteristic responsibilities include assisting with all aspects of coaching, planning, day-to-day practice and office operations, administrative tasks, and other duties as assigned by the Director of Cross Country/Track & Field and/or Assistant Coaches. Specifically, the Graduate Assistant or Intern Coach will oversee the training of sprints and hurdles.

Bachelor’s Degree; competitive and/or previous coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level; experience coaching or competing in the sprints; strong work ethic and self-starter; organizational skills; and great attention to detail. Work is not limited to the traditional workweek, the candidate must be willing to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends. Approximate start date is August 14, 2022.

Admission to a degree-granting graduate program at The University of Tulsa. The graduate assistant position offers tuition and book waiver, and stipend. This position is a nine-month, renewable appointment.
