Job Description

The University of South Dakota Track & Field team is in search of a dynamic individual to join us as a graduate assistant for the upcoming 2024-25 academic year. As a member of the NCAA Division I Summit League, USD Track & Field is dedicated to fostering excellence both on and off the track.
In this role, the successful candidate will play an integral part in the day-to-day operations of both our men’s and women’s track and field programs. Responsibilities will span a wide range, including but not limited to assisting with training sessions, contributing to the recruitment efforts, and meet management. Additionally, the selected individual will collaborate closely with student-athletes, support staff, athletic administrators, and our track & field staff to ensure the smooth functioning of our programs.
Applicants must be admitted to and enrolled in a graduate program at USD prior to commencing employment. This position offers the opportunity for renewal for a second year and includes a monthly stipend. The appointment will span nine months, starting in late August and concluding in May.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor’s degree
• Experience in sprints, jumps, &/or hurdles, either as an athlete or coach
