Job Description
Concord University is a NCAA Division II school located in the beautiful mountains of West Virginia. Concord competes in the Mountain East Conference, and Atlantic Region.
Job Summary: The graduate assistant will report to the Head Coach and assist in building, coaching and managing a family-oriented program. Enforcing NCAA D2, and MEC Rules.
Pays Scale: This Job is a 10 Month Graduate Assistant Role, that pays 10,000 per year (Paid Bi-Weekly). It includes a full tuition wavier also. (1-2 Year Contract) Must be Enrolled in a Masters Program. * Can be renewed for additional 2 years, if another masters degree is pursued*
Duties:
- Plan and organize practice for sprinters, and jumpers of all levels.
- Facilitate workouts for the head coach in all aspects of track, and some cross country.
- Manage weekly practice logs, and turning them into compliance.
- Weekend travel to various track meets, as well as some cross country meets.
- Ability to drive a 15 passenger van.
- Race Day Management
- Recruitment of Sprinters & Jumps for the next year.
Other Duties:
- Game Day management for other sports, and special events for the Athletic Department
- Any other tasks assigned by the athletic director & head coach.
Hours Per Week:
- Week Work Schedules Vary, 25-40 hours per week
