Job Description

University of Jamestown is seeking applicants for the position of Men’s & Women’s Cross Country/Track Graduate Assistant (GA) for a 2-year period, beginning in the fall of 2025. The candidate must have a background in XC/Mid-D/Distance Track as an athlete & must fit well with desired culture of the Jimmie XC/TF program.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Directly assisting the Director of XC/TF with all aspects of coaching & administration of the XC/Mid-D/Distance program.

Required Qualifications:

• Must be accepted as a full-time, degree-seeking student in the UJ Master of Arts in Leadership graduate program including having completed a Bachelor’s degree.
• Demonstrate commitment to the mission of the University of Jamestown.
• Demonstrate ability to be self-motivated, self-reflective, and to conduct oneself in an ethical and professional manner.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• XC/Mid D/Distance Track experience as a collegiate student-athlete and/or experience coaching.
• Ability to obtain a commercial driver’s license endorsement to assist with team travel.

Compensation:

• Full graduate tuition for the Master of Arts in Leadership program.
• On-Campus housing (if desired).
• Meal plan selection from one of four meal plans offerings.
