The Warrior Community seeks a full time Head Coach Men’s/Women’s Cross Country and Assistant Track Coach – Distance. The Department of Athletics at Indiana Tech serves as an integral part of the university and is an important participant in its mission. The commitment of the Department of Athletics is to enhance the student experience and to provide quality programs that are competitive, fun and meaningful in an atmosphere that promotes success within the spirit of fair play, sportsmanship and integrity.
Principal Duties & Responsibilities
*Plan, develop and administer all aspects of the Cross-Country program
*Formulate and administer team policies aligning with the philosophy of the institution
*Select, supervise and mentor assistant coaches for the Cross-Country program
*Recruit and retain specific enrollment numbers yearly
*Work in collaboration with the Head Track Coach during Indoor and Outdoor track season.
*Prepare students to meet eligibility qualifications for NAIA, WHAC and Indiana Tech
*Execute secondary duties within the Department of Athletics, including secondary role as site supervisor and game day operations as needed and assigned.
*Support the mission, vision, and strategic plan of Indiana Tech
Bachelors degree required, masters degree preferred.
3-5 years of college coaching or playing experience preferred
Physical work and travel are required.
