The University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth Athletics is seeking applicants for a full-time, benefited Head Coach for Men’s and Women’s Cross Country/Track and Field Distance Coach position. Building upon the past success of the program, the University is investing in the growth of these teams and continued conference and national success.
Working in coordination with the full-time Director of Cross Country/Track & Field (XC/T&F), the coach will be responsible for the men’s and women’s cross country teams and distance events during the indoor/outdoor track & field seasons. The hired coach is expected to join the team in January 2023 before the start of the indoor competition season.
Compensation for this position includes: minimum starting salary of $63,389.00/year (ESU Cat. 14); 75% employer-paid health insurance; state pension retirement plan; twelve paid annual holidays; accrual of paid sick, vacation, and personal time; tuition credit for employees, spouse, and dependents; plus additional benefits.
Preferred applicants will have a master’s degree, experience as a head coach at the NCAA Division III level, and/or a degree in a sports-related field of study.

UMass Dartmouth’s Cross Country/Track and Field teams are highly competitive in the Little East Conference, with multiple event champions, season awards, and the men’s Track & Field teams claiming both the indoor/outdoor team titles in 2022. Students annually qualify for the Division III New England Championships, and contend for NCAA qualifier and All-American honors.
