Job Description

Abilene Christian University (NCAA Division 1, Southland Conference) is seeking qualified applicants for coaching the Jumps – high jump, long jump, and triple jump – and assistance with the Multi Events, as well as help with operations, compliance, and program and meet management. The applicant will be responsible for coaching the jumpers and multi athletes, planning of the jumps program, daily practices, recruiting potential student-athletes, administrative tasks, meet management and travel duties, and other tasks assigned by the coaching staff and under the direction of the head coach. This one-year appointment has the potential to turn into a full-time coaching position at the conclusion of the 2020-21 season.

Qualifications & Education:
– Bachelor’s Degree

– Experience/interest in competing or coaching at the collegiate level with the horizontal or vertical jumps, or in the multi-event area

– Strong work ethic and good communication skills with student-athletes, recruits, fellow coaches, and administration

– Ability to work mornings, evenings, and weekends with long hours

– Up-to-date drivers license and passing of a criminal background check

– Familiarity with NCAA Division 1 rules and regulations
