Job Description

Primary Duties:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support for all USTFCCCA committees, including the Board of Directors, executive committees of NCAA Divisions I, II, and III Cross Country and Track & Field, NAIA committees, subcommittees, and working groups.
  • Lead the development and implementation of business agendas for monthly conference calls and annual meetings of executive-level committees.
  • Shepherd USTFCCCA proposals from inception to fruition, crafting compelling communications to NCAA stakeholders.
  • Conduct research to bolster and advance USTFCCCA proposals.
  • Keep USTFCCCA membership informed of NCAA actions affecting Cross Country and Track & Field coaches.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Well-developed planning, analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
  • Flexible and able to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.
  • Capable of working independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in intercollegiate athletics as a student-athlete, coach, or administrator.
  • Knowledge of the NCAA administrative structure, NCAA divisional legislative processes, and basic parliamentary procedure.
  • Proficiency with G-Suite (Google Drive, Google Docs, and Google Sheets).

The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) is a non-profit professional organization representing cross country and track & field coaches of all levels. The organization represents thousands of coaching members encompassing NCAA track & field programs (DI, DII, and DIII) and includes members representing the NAIA and NJCAA, as well as a number of state high school coaches associations. The USTFCCCA serves as an advocate for cross country and track & field coaches, providing a leadership structure to assist the needs of a diverse membership, serving as a lobbyist for coaches’ interests, and working as a liaison between the various stakeholders in the sports of cross country and track & field.
