Athletic Achievements/Important Information

Shannon was a true cross country specialist while competing in the powerhouse RMAC she amassed numerous all-RMAC, all-Region and all-American results. I believe that the consistency over her cross country career is worth considering for the NCAA II Hall of Fame.

She named RMAC Runner of the Week nine times during her career.

Championship results:

4x All-Region Cross Country - 14th, 4th, 3rd, 1st
4x All-RMAC Cross Country - 13th, 4th, 2nd, 2nd
4x All-American Cross Country - 35th, 11th, 10th, 3rd

In track she was a 7 - time NCAA II national qualifier in the 3000m, 5000m and 10,000m earning all-American in the 3000m and 10,000m (2). She was 3 - time RMAC Champion in the 3000m and 5000m (2) and was a 9 x all-RMAC first team member in the 3000, 5000m and 10,000m.

Post-Collegiate Accomplishments

As a senior also finished 15th at the USATF Cross Country National Championships (8k).

Shannon went on to compete for USA National Teams in the World Mountain Running Championships and won numerous trail and mountain races. She is also placed very high in numerous USA National Cross Country Championships and USA National Club Cross Country Championship while helping the Adidas BRC team win National Team titles. She also holds the women's record for the fastest combined running and cycling times for the prestigious Mt. Washington Road Race (separate races to the top).
