ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
• Jennifer also was a part of the University of Mary’s Harold Shafer Leadership Academy and graduated as a Certified Shafer Leader. While in this program Jennifer volunteered with organizations like Make-A-Wish and volunteered for the University in the Track and Field Clinics put on for high school aged adolescents.
• Jennifer graduated from undergraduate school with a major in Exercise Science and a minor in Wellness with a GPA of 3.75 in the spring of 2013 and became an American College of Sports Medicine Certified Health Fitness Specialist.
• Jennifer completed her 5th year of Cross Country eligibility in the fall of 2013 while enrolled in the doctorate level Physical Therapy Program at the University of Mary.
• Jennifer received some athletic and academic scholarship while enrolled at the University of Mary in undergraduate school, but no financial assistance while competing in cross country while in graduate school. Therefore, throughout much of her athlete and academic career she also worked part time (10-30hours per week) between work study in the University of Mary Library and waitressing nights and weekends to make financial ends meets.
