Job Description
Description and Responsibilities:
University of Montana Western’s Track and Field Program Developing program. The sprints/jumps/hurdles events were added in the 2024-2025 Track and Field Season. This is an opportunity to assist in the continued growth and development of a program. The assistant coach will be will be responsible for the coaching and training of the sprint/jumps/hurdles groups. They will design and implement practices and weightlifting. They will assistant the head coach as directed in all aspects of the program including recruiting student athletes, monitoring academic progress and problems of student athletes in your event groups, planning travel, gear and equipment management, fundraising, social media management, driving university vehicles to and from meets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- College competing background in sprints/ jumps /hurdles events or 1-2 years of experience coaching at a high school or college level.
- Preferred knowledge of NAIA rules
