Job Description

Nebraska Wesleyan University is accepting applications for the position of a Part Time Assistant Track and Field Coach. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Director of Cross Country / Track and Field with all aspects of the Track and Field programs, with an emphasis on the horizontal jumps.

Candidates will be responsible for:

• The coaching and development of student-athletes in the horizontal jumps
• Being at practices on jump days (1-2 days a week) and meet days
• Creating weekly and daily practice plans for the horizontal jumps
• Maintaining, organizing, and keeping inventory of equipment in the horizontal jumps
• Working closely with the Director on identifying horizontal jump recruits and being responsible for recruiting student-athletes in the horizontal jumps
• Helping with camps, clinics, recruiting functions, and home meet management

Qualifications:
A Bachelor’s degree is required. Candidates should possess a thorough knowledge of track and field, specifically within the horizontal jumps, and a demonstrated ability to enhance student athlete development. Candidates should have experience coaching or competing in the horizontal jumps. Demonstrated ability and success in identifying and recruiting student athletes or the willingness to engage in the recruiting process with the Director of Cross Country / Track and Field.
