Job Description

St. Olaf College Men’s and Women’s Track & Field programs are seeking three part-time coaches to assist with the 2021-22 Indoor/Outdoor Track & Field season. All event groups will be considered. The ideal candidate should have a background in coaching track & field at the collegiate or high school level, and/or have competed in track & field at the collegiate level.

The position will run from November 1, 2021 – May 31, 2022. There are no benefits offered with this position.

What You’ll Do:
Direct, organize and administer all aspects of the instruction, practice planning and advisement of assigned student-athlete position group:
Assist head coaches with implementing training programs for both men’s and women’s track and field
Provide quality coaching and instruction for both men’s and women’s teams during practices and competitions
Mentor student-athletes to promote athletic, academic, emotional, and social growth
Drive college vans to transport team members to off-site practices and competition venues
Assist with home competitions/meet management, and equipment issue/return/care
Engage with prospective students during visits and potential for additional recruiting responsibilities

What you need:
Bachelor’s degree; maintain a valid driver’s license and meet St. Olaf College driver authorization criteria with a satisfactory driving record
1+ year of college or high school coaching experience, and/or participation in collegiate track and field. College Coaching experience preferred.
