Volunteer Assistant Guidelines

Proposal: Amend NCAA Division I Bylaw 11.01.6 “Coach, Volunteer” to specify that
1. Volunteer coaches may receive actual and necessary expenses to attend the convention of the national coaches association in the coach’s sport.
2. Volunteer coaches may receive actual and necessary expenses to attend a coaching and/or athletics administration career education program (e.g., Women’s Basketball Coaches Association—So You Want To Be A Coach, Black Women in Sports Foundation—Next Step Program, U.S. Olympic Committee—Minority/Women in Coaching Leadership, U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association – Track & Field Academy).
