Concordia University Chicago is seeking a qualified, highly motivated graduate assistant candidate to assist and/or oversee one of the following training groups: Cross Country (Distance), Throws (Weight Throw, Shot Put, Discus, Hammer, Javelin) or Jumps (Long jump, Triple jump, High Jump) starting in the fall semester. The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong area of knowledge in one of those areas while being open to assisting the others as needed. This role will include: recruiting, supervising student-athletes, developing and implementing training programs, analysis of associated technique, and preparing student-athletes for competition. Other duties would include, office oriented work and home meet management.

A Bachelor’s degree and collegiate running, throwing and/or jumping experience is required. Qualified candidates will preferably be USATF Level I certified or be willing to pursue such credentials through a recognized certifying association. A CSCS certification or similar credentials are appreciated. The Graduate Assistant must be enrolled in a Graduate Program at Concordia University Chicago and meet all contract requirements.
